Sir David Attenborough
This portrait of Sir David Attenborough was a true passion project. Capturing such a legendary figure was both a joy and a privilege. Using a close-up reference, I worked to bring every detail of his face to life, reflecting not only his likeness, but also the wisdom and character he embodies.
Artistic Process
Creating this portrait was a rewarding challenge, with the intricate skin textures proving especially captivating. High contrast and fine detailing brought out the natural folds and character of age, while a deep black graphite background draws the eye entirely to Sir David’s face. Every line and shadow was crafted over more than 60 hours to achieve a lifelike, intimate result.
